Codecamp GOSA Gothenburg

RealTime Codecamp September 2012

Beautiful Gothenburg and the developers in GOSA hosted the event.
The "realtime-session" was held by Ulf Björklund and Magnus Thor (Team Xsockets).
As founders of Xsockets they spoke about the possibilities of HTML5 and all that comes around.
They showed how easy the Xsockets-plattform is to use and the group ofcourse got to see
some nice demos.

Special thanks to Daniel, Kristoffer and Dotnetmentor (sponsor)

Realtime Websolutions and Team Xsockets aim to set up a tour later on.
In Sweden as well as abroad.
Are you interested to participate or/and maybe host the event fore your developers or customers ? Please let us know!

Realtime lecture Webdays, Gothenburg

Getting Started with 10 lines of code - Magnus Thor (Real Time Evangelist) shows how developers can work with real-time programming in an easy and cost effective way.

According to Thor's is 2013 the year when browser communication will take over. New doors have been opened via WebSockets and WebRTC, which gives utbvecklare opportunity to widow in completely new ways.
Or as Thor himself says: "An HTTP application on steroids, is still just an http application, it is not the communication that the internet really should use"
What Thor trying to say is that int is better by forcing off old techniques when there are new and more efficient available. You just have to know where in the system they should be placed.
Thor's contribution to the scene is a platform based on websocklets protocol that enables extremely fast communication and very intelligent message routing.
The platform, XSockets.netis a freeware, but can also be used via an API service that Thor created (Live.Xsockets.net).
Via XSockets Live, any developer can boost their web applications with help of (approximately) 10 lines of code. An amazingly easy way to start working in real time!
